What You Can Do With Stainless Machine Screws

Screws have been in existence for quite a long time now. Ever since the discovery of the Archimedes Screw back in the 7th Century and its remarkable ability to lift water, stainless machine screws have tremendously outgrown their uses. Over the last century, these fasteners have found a special place in the industrial world and especially the construction and automobile industry. In this case, it is very common to see bolts being used in virtually all basic fastenings and drilling operations.

Screw is very important within the automobile industry and in fact, they are used to fasten together quite a number of structures in the industry. They are like the 'glue' in cars; they literally hold the car together. Their use in the automobile industry is unlimited. They are for example used to fasten door handles and the car stereo just to mention a few.

Similarly, in the automobile industry stainless screws are used to fasten a good number of structures together. These fasteners literally bind cars together and are found binding most car objects together. In this case, it is common to find these fasteners fastening virtually everything in a car ranging from fastening the car stereo to door handles among other appliances.

There are a significant number of fasteners in use today but the most common fall under two main categories the flat heads and the round heads. In this case, some widespread fasteners in use today include the countersunk, cheese head, pan head slot, round head slot among others. For instance the countersunk head slot screw is common with securing hinges in place as it drills all the way into the wood or metal as the head rests flat leaving no protruding surfaces.

The rust-proof ability and the high tensile characteristic make steel the best material to be used for making screws. Using steel screw is advantageous because for wood and metal elements that are exposed to weather elements and water, they remain safe and fastened because steel does not rust.

Owing to the high tensile nature of steel and its rust-proof ability, it makes it the perfect material for forging fasteners. In this regard, steel bolts provide the best binding for metal and wood products which in most cases are exposed to moisture and weather elements. Similarly, such fasteners are used to fasten structures such as bathtubs and water taps in place. The good thing with steel is that it is durable and does not require frequent replacement.

Drilling is yet another use of fasteners apart from fastening things together. It is imperative to note that virtually all drills use screws as the key component for making holes. In this case, drill heads such as the ones found in common rotary drills are usually derived from basic screw characteristics. In addition, while some of these drills use high-end material such as Titanium and Cobalt, a good number use stainless machine fasteners. In this regard, apart from the strength, steel fasteners are also affordable and easily accessible.

Other than drilling, screws can also be used to make small holes on the walls. They are used to make holes when mounting picture frames, light bulbs and TV just to mention a few. They can also be used to make small holes before plastering a house or when a gaping hole in the house need to be hidden.
